U.S. News & World Report published their Best Colleges book today and ranked City University of Seattle’s online degree programs among the top 30 in the United States in its 2016 list of “Best Online Programs.”
Nearly 300 accredited institutions were evaluated on their offerings, the success of engaging students, the credentials of their faculty and the services and technologies made available remotely. Rankings were most influenced by the total number of faculty holding a Ph.D. or other terminal degree; class size; the percentages of new entrants who stayed enrolled and later graduated; and the debt load of recent graduates. CityU of Seattle ranked 27th on the list and was one of only two universities in the State of Washington to rank on this list.
In addition, CityU also ranked 23rd on 2016 U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans”.
CityU’s commitment to serving anyone with the desire to learn has established the university as an innovator within higher education, as well as its special commitment to military and their families. For more than forty years, CityU has pioneered new ways of reaching students through distance, online and performance-based learning modalities. These rankings demonstrate the University’s pledge to engaging students where they live, and providing them with new and unique pathways to changing their lives through education.
