I have had the chance to come several times to Beijing to teach at the IFCM-UIBE. I have always been thankful to the staff there for their wonderful welcome. Every year, it was a pleasure to meet my new students. I was teaching a pretty technical and conceptually challenging course (financial engineering) but they always had the focus and the dedication necessary to have a good and fruitful time in class. I realize that it was not easy for them to come to class on weekends and I was always amazed at their commitment. I was always trying to introduce new concepts in a fun way through cases or classroom games and students were always very active and involved making the classroom experience a very enjoyable moment. Finally, I would like to say that I was very happy to meet with other professors with whom I had the chance to discover the beautiful city of Beijing. Happy birthday to this wonderful program!
